VR Solution for a Real Estate Client

Client Requirements

No Belgravia Group is a leading residential developer in Chicago providing the highest quality homes and real estate related services to its valued clients.

The client wanted a solution for realistic visualization of the apartments, under construction, along with the actual view from the apartment so that they can use it internally to analyze their work as well as externally to increase the sales by providing a realistic feel to their customers. The need was also to assess the client’s feedback and capture it for next project.

Solution

After doing the complete mapping of the requirements a Common Gateway Interface (CGI) based on a virtual reality solution was proposed to provide actual view of the interiors as well as exteriors from that floor.

HTC Vive headsets were used to provide an immersive VR experience. The headset uses "room scale" tracking technology, allowing the user to move in 3D space and use motion-tracked handheld controllers to interact with the environment.

Analytics module was integrated with the solution to generate the location and gaze based heatmap.

Results

There was an increase in sales by almost 15%. The VR solution also facilitated up to 20% faster decision making. The analytics module integrated with the system generates report-based information on the feedback from customers so that the client can use it to improve the quality of their work thereby increasing the customer number and customer satisfaction.
