The client wanted to develop a full-scale web and mobile app that will enable them to streamline their services and offer users the convenience of booking through their mobiles. They wanted to develop an application that would make the hiring and booking of taxis an easy procedure. The solution also needed to provide a unified user experience for cab drivers and passengers, enabling them to access and streamline the booking process on the fly.
The development team analyzed and mapped the client’s requirements into multiple phases. To improve tracking and booking performance, the team proposed to develop the app with three distinctive modules: driver, passenger and the administrator modules.
Drivers can find customers, generate bills and get optimum route suggestions. Leveraging GPS technology, the application automatically searches for available cabs in the nearest area. Drivers have ability to accept or reject the booking.
The app offers one single platform which allows the booking of all forms of passenger transport: standard taxi, hire car (premium limo) and ride share. It has easy payment system and refund on cancelled bookings using the app itself. Passenger account for tracking the booking order history and can redeem discount coupons/offers.
The administrator has the ability to manage booking and track reports. They can manage all users, both drivers and passenger’s usability and can also manage the payment terms and daily payments.
The application streamlined the process of booking cabs and the app was integrated with GPS technology to enable real time navigation and booking. The app was also integrated with online payment gateways to facilitate easy payment and refund.
Because of the ease to use features and user-friendly interface, there was a significant increase in the number of customers which in turn increased the revenue generated for the client.
